Fat Deposits

Problems with Fat Deposits / Treatment of Fat Deposits

Women as well as men carry fat on their body, just as nature intended it. We are unable to survive without fat, as it is one of the building blocks of the body. It is a commonly known fact that women tend to have a higher fat percentage than men. A fit and healthy woman will have a fat percentage of 23, while it should be around 15 for a man.

Unfortunately, the case today is that more and more people are becoming overweight, and those who are already overweight become even heavier. Obesity is basically caused by taking in more energy than the body can manage to burn over a long period of time. The body then stores the excess energy as fat deposits all around the body.

With women, it is typically the abdomen, the sides by the loin (love handles), the inner and outer side of the thighs, the knee area, and the neck. With men, the fat usually settles around the abdomen, chest, and neck area.

It is also quite common to have fat deposits on the chin, neck, under the arms or bosom, the bottom part of the legs and the calves, the ankles, and even in the genital area.

Liposuction can be the perfect solution for removing these localised fat deposits, and is a procedure used by women and men as well. It is important to underline that liposuction is not a form of diet, but a method for removing fat deposits that will not go away through exercise or fitness.
