Non-ablative skin laser and IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is a milder treatment type than ablative laser. "Non-ablative" means that the light from the laser or IPL machine travels through the top layer of skin without damaging this. It then gives off its energy only in the underlying tissue. Because of this, there are much less risks and side effects to this treatment compared to ablative treatments. On the other hand, the result will be equally less pronounced.
